went here for 2026’s new year eve and it was magnificent!! firstly, the atmosphere was spectacular. the place was bustling, we got cute glow in the dark glasses, bracelet, and confetti. there were a lot of fun performances such as taiko, new year countdown, sake ceremony, and mochi pounding—we even got free sake! even though the place was really really busy, the service was wonderful. the yakitori and karaage is a must try, i really really love it. lastly, thank you so much for the staffs who are still working in the new year eve.

Our friends brought us here and it was the best dinner of the trip! Chihiro did an absolutely fantastic job and accommodated our drink choices like a professional! My favorite dishes were the unagi meshi, the sukiyaki and the sashimi! The sushi felt like velvet in the mouth and the chicken is juicy and tender! If you get to enjoy dinner here, you won't be disappointed! Ask for Chihiro too - her suggestions are great!
This is some of the best Wagyu I have had. The sushi was amazing and I was a big fan of the Wasabi. The ladies who performed the 8 o clock drum show did a fantastic job. My server, Tamako, was perfect her service and attitude are ICHIBAN! ありがとございました!
I visited Gonpachi Shibuya and was assisted by chihuro & naru . They are incredibly polite, humble, and fluent in English, which made everything smooth and comfortable. She took great care of us the whole time and made us feel very welcome. The food was delicious — especially the grilled dishes and sushi, full of authentic Japanese flavor and beautifully presented. The restaurant had a lively atmosphere and everything was served fresh and perfectly cooked. Thank you, guys , for your warm hospitality and excellent service. It truly made the dining experience special!
Ambience is absolutely amazing!! They have private cabin like seating for big groups. I tried only vegan dishes, taste of vegan dishes was quite average. Avocado sushi was good, one can try that out. Although non-vegan food options were delicious (according to frnds)
I had an amazing experience thanks to our wonderful waitress/hostess, “Rina”. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel instantly welcome. She was attentive without being intrusive, knew the menu inside and out, and gave great recommendations — especially for the sushi rolls! What really stood out was her attention to detail — refilling drinks promptly, checking in at just the right times, and making sure every part of our meal was perfect. Her kindness and professionalism truly elevated the dining experience. This level of service is rare and deserves recognition. We’ll definitely be coming back soon, and we’ll be asking for her again. Highly recommended!
Great restaurant located at the top of the tower, beautiful view on Shibuya from the restaurant (depends where you're seated) and while going with the elevator. Good choice of meal and sake ! The food was fresh and tasty, well presented. The staff is really friendly and speak well english if needed. They are very helpful to help you to choose which sake you should drink depending on your preference. I very recommend this place, great restaurant for a date !
We went to Gonpachi for a dinner and we had a very positive experience. Good service and food, and absolutely great atmosphere. We really loved the music. Also, being a vegan in Japan is not always easy but this restaurant has an entire separate vegan menu which is great. On the negative side, the bottle of wine we ordered was very warm so we had to ask for a bucket with ice. Happy with the restaurant overall and we will definitely go back.
